Will you miss me, my fur friends?

It is time I told you that my humans are going away for THREE LONG WEEKS and I am also to take a mini-vacation at a cat hotel during that time. Not my ideal choice scenario, I must say... anyhow, I do hear the humans will be taking a ‘plane’ (which I hear is even worse than a ‘car’); so I’m not too keen to accompany them.

I just wish they did not go...

Mama will schedule a few Wordless Wednesday posts for my blog for this time... just to help my wonderful friends remember me while I’m away, but she is likely to not be make an entry in my blog during her visit to the ‘faraway land’...

She may update her personal blog [link] and her Twitter [link] though, and let me warn you- more often than not- they are full of boring human stuff...

So.... for now... stay well, fur friends. Keep having fun but make sure you miss me a little too. Okay?

Monday would be a happy day... you know why? Because it is the Happy Cat Award day!



Anyway, for those who do not know... it is an award that I give out to 6 of my friends that I choose every month on the 21st in way of appreciating them as ‘good friends’ [and for EACH month, there is a new badge, too]. Now why the 21st, you may ask... well because my birthday on a 21st and on every 21st, I am another month older... and of course that is a BIG DEAL, right?

On this 21st, I will be 1 year and 8 months old... yes; I am quite a grown-up mancat now- won’t you say? I still have a long way to go to be eligible to join the ‘senior kitty club’ though... but that’s alright. I’ll get there someday :)

That must mean that she finds them cute... not sure if feeling rather flattered by my 'cute toesies' is appropriate for a young mancat as me, but oh well...

Movie Monday

My parents decided to get another monster, and got it too... no, not another cat- but a d-r-y-e-r- yea, that's what it's being called I reckon.

It's a big white noisy box that makes silly noises... and in the process dries human 'furs'. Apparently, humans cannot use their tongues to dry their furs like we cats can... now, how silly is that!

Well... so as I was saying... it is a new monster in MY HOUSE... and of course it was my 'kitten duty to give him some 'Shera Sniffs', so that there is absolutely no confusion that this house is MY JUNGLE, not his:



I think the dryer understands. He has not dared to sniff, chase or attack me EVEN ONCE!!!!!

Looks like I'm back!

Do you remember me still? I know, I know. I have not been blogging for a few days... not my fault, but Mommy's.

I wonder who told her to get sick... hmm, whoever that was deserves a 'hissing fit' from me. Growl!



Anyhow, mommy is better now. Thanks for the purrs, her sinusitis seems to be gone- only her eyes are still puffy... but she cooked today, so that must mean she's much better... right?

Wordless Wednesday: Lost in thoughts

Misplaced priorities

Mommy went to work today...



Thank you all kitties who purred for her, but she said she had too much to do at work and she could not possibly miss it today regardless of however much she’d have liked to.... also, her boss is on vacation and she needed to sign a lot of papers in his absence, whatever THAT means... I’m almost past caring anyway... I said, almost.

... I’m sure she’d have liked me purring on her lap on the sofa better than ‘signing’ papers, but I am learning that to human mind ‘like’ is often not the ‘THE’ deciding factor.

I have asked it before and I’ll ask it again- why do humans have to make everything so complicated?

The many arts of 'Persuation'

Mommy still has what she's calling 'sinusitis' and it is still hurting her face and making her eyes water etc etc etc.



I am, however, comtemplating if mommy is ENOUGH sick that she can be persuaded to 'not' go hunting tomorrow and, in effect, spend yet another glorious day sleeping in with me on her lap?

I mean- of course I don't want her to suffer... but you know how sometimes all a human needs is a little bit of 'persuation' and they do exactly what is good for them?

What do you think? It is worth a try, right?

I have successfully convinced my mommy to get sick and stay home with me...

The trick is to look super cute and blink your eyes a lot. A LOT!

.... I did it and it worked!!

The kind and lovely Kat's Kats have given an award to my mommy. Well, that means that I will have to pass my bloggie to mommy today and I'm sure all my friends will miss me... but then... what can be done, right?

So there you go, I'm sure It will not be as interesting as it would have been if I WERE BLOGGING... but there you go....




1. What would your perfect day consist of?
Umm... let’s see: not waking up to an alarm clock, a winter day with the room heater on, Sherkhan on my lap, 'the man' by my side, the coffee mug in my palms- watching rain from the window in my pajamas ALL DAY! Oh yea!!



2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?
A bright red scarf with simple earth coloured clothes... :)



3. What hobbies are you currently working on?
Writing... for my kitten’s blog and mine, it does not matter which one I update- it de-stresses me greatly to be able to put those words down on a paper- or a monitor screen, in this case.



4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?
Barefoot on the beach.


5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?
No, I’m allergic to most plants. How woody of me, right? I know!!! *rolls eyes*


6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?
Nipping to the supermarket; as I said- I’m allergic to most plants, gardening is not for me :(.


7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?
Other than that my forefathers were traders from Iran, who went from country to country to trade goods from country to the other? Umm... no...!


8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?
Umm... slap up meal in a posh restaurant. I’m not a snob; no, really not. I just like those delicate flavours in my food :)... besides, I like my food better when cooked, not fried.

Water... water... water... and water :)

'Oh no! Did I just see the Winter man?'

They say it's the first day of Winter here in Australia... but of course, they say a LOT of stuff....



You know what else they say? 'Do not believe everything you hear'... meeheehee! I totally crack myself up.

That Winter Man, I say, can stay in the South Pole... and leave me alone forever....
